Damascus, SANA- The temperatures will rise to become slightly above average as the country is being affected by a superficial high air pressure accompanied by northwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy in general, and that local rain showers are expected over the northern, coastal and al-Jazeera areas in the evening and at night.
The wind will be northwesterly with a light to moderate speed and the sea waves will be low in height.
On Friday and Saturday, the temperatures will continue to rise to become from 3 to 5 degrees above average and the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general.
The expected temperatures in the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 14/5, Daraa 15/5, Homs 13/4, Hama 14/4, Hasaka 15/3, Lattakia 18/10, Aleppo 15/4 and Deir Ezzor 16/6.
