Media delegation visits western countryside of Aleppo

Aleppo, SANA – A delegation from 30 local, Arab and foreign media outlets visited on Wednesday the frontlines between the Syrian Arab Army and the terrorist organizations in the western countryside of Aleppo.

The reporters inspected during their visit the situation on the ground in al-Arbaeen Mountain which the army restored control over last December. They also met the commander of the military operations and the allied forces in the region who provided a detailed explanation about the strategic importance of al-Arbaeen Mountain and the firing control it provides in the southern countryside of Aleppo.

The military commander pointed out that control was established over wide areas in the southern countryside, bringing Aleppo-Idleb highway closer after the army secured points in al-Arbaeen Mountain and Dadin hills.

The journalists reported live from the area, explaining the situation on the ground and the nature of the combat missions carried out by the army.

The delegation, which includes 50 reporters from 30 Syrian, Arab, Turkish, Iranian media outlets, had visited in the past few days Kweires Military Airport and a number of villages which were restored by Syrian army in the eastern and southern countryside of Aleppo.
