Moscow, SANA The decision of launching Russian air operation against terrorists in Syria matches with the international law, Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergey Ivanov said, adding that it is completely legal and connects
with the development of the situation in Syria.
Ivanov told Russian News Agency “TASS” on Monday that Russian forces will not participate in ground operations, as Russia has frankly announced that since the beginning.
In the case of Syria, Russia doesn’t follow any foreign political aspirations; he went on to say, adding that all the steps taken in this regard with the military operations were previously pondered and carefully counted and consistent with the supreme commander.
He reiterated that Russia has adopted all appropriate measures to protect its air forces in Syria.
Russia carries out , since September 30, an air operation in Syria against the positions of the terrorist organizations, including the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and Jabhat al-Nusra, upon the request of the Syrian State.
