“October to bloom again” festival opened in Homs old city

Homs, SANA- Homs Culture Directorate, in cooperation with Melkite Greek Catholic Church in Homs, Hama and Yabroud, opened “October to bloom again” festival in Lady of Peace Church in the old city of Homs.

The two day festival includes a number of cultural and artistic activities in addition to exhibition for the handmade works and handicraft workshops organized by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

Homs Governor, Talal al-Barazi, asserted that the cultural and artistic activities are an evidence of the local society’s recovery in various neighborhoods in Homs, mainly the old city.

The festival attended by a number of clerics and interested people in cultural issues in addition to the locals of the old city of Homs.

“October to bloom again” festival seeks to revive the cultural situation in Homs and activate the cultural movement.
