Patriarch Yazigi calls for peace in Syria during mass held in USA

Washington, SANA – Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East John X Yazigi renewed appeal for bringing peace, security and stability to Syria.

Chairing a mass upon his arrival to St. George’s Church in Worcester, USA Patriarch Yazigi said “WEe pray for peace in Syria and the stability of Lebanon.”

In the framework of his visit to Diocese of Antioch in North America, the Patriarch reviewed with Greece’s permanent delegate to the United Nations Katrina Bora in the presence of Metropolitan of New York and the Entire North American Archbishop Joseph Zehlawi some developments and the latest stances of the Church.
