Quneitra, SANA- Marking the Syrian Prisoner Day, a seminar was held Monday at the auditorium of the 4th Education Faculty at al-Baath city in Quneitra province.
The seminar was organized by Quneitra Governorate in cooperation with the Committee for Supporting Liberated and Detained Syrian Prisoners in the Israeli Jails.
Participants in the seminar called upon the international legal and human rights institutions to exert more pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities to release all the Syrian prisoners, on top the re-detained captor Sidiki al-Maqt.
Chairman of the committee, liberated prisoner Ali al-Younus reviewed the forms of torture against the Arab detainees in the Israeli jails which aim at undermining their will, stressing that the occupation authorities use various types of internationally banned torture methods against the Arab captives.
He indicated that the captives formed the National Resistance Captive Movement at the Israeli jails to face the arrogance and Nazism of the Israeli occupation.
For his part, Lawyer Mohammad al-Mahamid said that the Israeli occupation has violated all the resolutions of the UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly which are related to the occupied Syrian Golan backed by the US administration and some European countries.
Al-Mahamid referred to some of the Zionist entities’ violations such as displacing 135 thousand residents of the occupied Syrian Golan and establishing more than 4o Zionist settlements and other violations.
A photo exhibition was held on the sidelines of the seminar. The exhibition embraced 34 photos of the Syrian detainees and of the victories achieved by the Syrian army and the armed forces against the Takfiri terrorist organizations.
