Damascus, SANA- Popular Commission for the Liberation of the Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan vowed that it will continue work against the terrorist forces so that for Syria to regain its role of resisting Zionism and the occupation forces.
The Commission was speaking in a statement it issued on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the evacuation of French occupiers from Syria (Independence Day), which is marked on April 17th.
It said the Independence Day anniversary comes this year at a time when Syria is facing an international war in which takfiri obscurantist forces are used as tools to debilitate the state and curb Syria’s leading resistance role against the Zionist Israeli entity, which is occupying the Golan since 1967.
Just like the Syrian people asserted their independence on April 17th of 1946 after years of struggle and huge sacrifices, they will now continue to strongly fight terrorism and defend their independence tooth and nail and are inevitably going to triumph, the statement added.
