Ankara, SANA-Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, affirmed Saturday his country’s support for security and stability in Syria.
“We affirm our support for the brotherly Syrian people, our support for security and stability in Syria, the preservation of the unity of its national institutions and the integrity of its territory, and the necessity of working towards a political transition that includes all sects in Syria”, Dr. Abdel Aati said in his speech at the opening session of the 51st session of the Islamic bloc’s foreign ministers’ council, held in Istanbul.
Abdel-Aati added that Egypt condemns repeated Israeli violations of Syrian and Lebanese sovereignty, stressing the need for Israel’s immediate withdrawal from the occupied Syrian Golan Heights and the rest of Syrian territory.
