Health Ministry, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) discuss means of boosting joint cooperation

Damascus, SANA- Syria, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) discussed Monday means of joint cooperation at relief and medical fields.

That came during a meeting between Minister of Health, Dr. Musab al-Ali, and a delegation of “MSF” at the ministry’s building in Damascus Province.

The delegation briefed its works in Syria after liberation, which included establishing burn treatment centers in five governorates, in addition to first aid healthcare and emergency response centers.

The participants in the meeting stressed the necessity to lift the sanctions imposed on Syria which significantly affected the healthcare sector and infrastructure development.

For his part, Dr. al-Ali underscored the importance of coordination between the ministry and the organization to provide health services in the best possible way and work to raise the efficiency of healthcare cadres through training and qualifying them.

He hailed the efforts exerted by the organization in various governorates through emergency preparedness and response and meeting the needs and requirements.
