Minister of Higher Education explores scientific cooperation with businessmen delegation

Damascus, SANA- Dr. Marwan Halabi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, has discussed prospects for investment cooperation in the scientific domain with a delegation of businessmen invested in the education sector, led by Mohammad Kabida, President of the Federation of Foreign Schools in Sudan.

During the meeting, held at the Ministry’s headquarters on Monday, Minister Halabi highlighted the potential for establishing foreign universities in Syria that comply with relevant regulations and standards.

He emphasized two strategic approaches: the first aligning with the educational roadmap, and the second focusing on competitive standards related to university quality.

The delegation explored the possibility of opening branches of foreign universities and colleges in Syria, aligning with contemporary technological advancements, and prioritizing specialties not currently available.

They also discussed the feasibility of establishing branches of private Sudanese universities in Syria.
