Turkish and Norwegian Foreign Ministers emphasize importance of lifting sanctions on Syria

Ankara – SANA- Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his Norwegian counterpart, Espen Barth Eide, have stressed the importance of fully lifting sanctions on Syria.

The Anadolu Agency reported Fidan’s remarks during a press conference held Thursday with Barth Eide at the Turkish Foreign Ministry headquarters in Ankara.

He stated that both ministers “agreed on the importance of fully lifting sanctions on Syria and that they share a desire for it to become a stable and prosperous country.”

The Turkish Foreign Minister also highlighted that “Norway has been providing humanitarian aid to Syria for a long time and considers this highly valuable in terms of fostering stability and security in Syria.”
