Provinces, SANA – Army units killed on Monday scores of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and destroyed several of their hideouts in Quneitra and Daraa as the crackdown against terrorist organizations continued in other provinces, with the army advancing in al-Zabadani in Damascus Countryside.
Damascus Countryside
Units of Army and Armed Forces continued their military operations against the terrorists of Jabhet al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations in Damascus Countryside.
A military source told SANA reporter that the army established full control over 1715 site, after eliminating the last gatherings of terrorist organizations in the area following a series of successful operations in the western mountains of al-Zabadani, leaving scores of terrorists dead.
Terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages the death of tens of their members in al-Zabadani. Faysal Ma’mon Burhan, Mahmoud assim hamdan, Ra’fat Murad, Anas al-Magribi, tarek Okar were identified among the dead.
In al-Qalamon Mountains, media sources reported that around 13 Jabhit al-Nusra members were killed in the outskirts of Falita. Ali Hakoum and Jihad Abad al-Aziz Saleh were identified among the dead.
Homs
Military operations continued against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the far east of the central Homs province, leaving many terrorists killed and their vehicles and weapons destroyed in Unq al-Hawa town and the village of Rahhoum, according to a military source.
The army also killed terrorists and destroyed their weapons and ammunition in the villages of Hawadit, al-Salehiya, Masaada, al-Msheirfeh and in Jeb al-Jarrah in the eastern countryside of the province.
An army unit carried out a concentrated operation against terrorists’ gatherings in the surrounding area of Taldo village, where dozens of terrorists were killed or injured.
Quneitra
The countryside of Quneitra province witnessed intensive army operations on dens of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in which a number of terrorists were killed and injured and three of their dens were destroyed along with their arms and ammunition in Ain al-Baida to the northwest of Tal al-Ahmar.
An army unit destroyed mortar launchers used by Jabhat al-Nusra and killed a number of its members in Mashara village to the north of the strategic al-Harra hill area between Daraa and Quneitra countryside.
Other units destroyed two dens of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and the so called “Fajr al-Islam” brigade and “al-Furqan brigades,” killing a number of terrorists in Beir Ajam and al-Braiqa villages to the southeast of Quneitra city.
Daraa
An army unit completely eliminated a den for terrorists in Jadal village in al-Lajat where mercenaries exploit the rough elevations to hide from the strikes of the army and attack neighboring villages.
A number of terrorists from Jabhet al-Nusra were killed and others were injured during a concentrated operation by the Syrian Arab Army against their dens to the west of Jleen village near al-Yarmouk valley to the west of Daraa city.
An army unit directed a strike on positions of terrorists from Jabhet al-Nusra and other extremist terrorist groups under their leadership, resulting in killing a number of them and destroying their arms and ammunition in Dael town to the north of Daraa, a military source told SANA.
The source added that after monitoring terrorists’ movements, an army unit killed a number of terrorists and injured others to the northwest of Salmeen town that is considered a connecting point between terrorist concentrations.
Another unit destroyed a concentration of terrorists along with their arms and ammunition and killed a number of their members in the big square in Tafas town near the Jordanian border.
Other units killed a number of terrorists in the surrounding of al-Manshia park, al-Yarmouk school, the guidance unit and an area to the east of old customs building in Daraa al-Balad.
Another army unit destroyed a den in which leaders of terrorist organizations were gathered in Busra al-Cham city in the eastern countryside of the province.
