Provinces, SANA – Units of the army and armed forces on Thursday continued mop-up operations, tightening the noose around foreign-backed terrorists in several areas across the country.
Aleppo
Units of the army and the armed forces established full control over a number of farms surrounding Handarat area in the northern countryside of Aleppo province, hours after it had retaken Handarat from the terrorists.
Damascus Countryside
The army destroyed three vehicles, one of them equipped with heavy machine gun, and killed terrorists of the so-called al-Islam army while storming their den between Douma and Misraba in Damascus countryside.
Aql Ahmad Derbas, from Libya and Othman al-Jaradi, from Yemen were identified among the killed terrorists.
Meanwhile, The army sent concentrated strikes against dens of the so-called Liwa al-Islam near al-Naoura park in Douma, destroying 8 vehicles and killing several terrorists.
In Alyia farms to the north of Douma, fierce clashes between the army and an armed terrorist group led to the killing of terrorists Ahmad Abdul-Aziz and Abdo Bitar.
In Ayn Tarma, the army confirmed the killing of 15 terrorists, among them Abu al-Abbas, leader of a terrorist group.
In al-Zabadani, the army also killed a number of terrorists, among them Bashir Khareta, Abdul-Rahman al-Ashrafani and Mohammad Shbara.
Hasaka
A unit of the army carried out an operation against terrorist organizations’ dens in the area surrounding Hasaka city in which it used all types of heavy and medium-sized weapons, according to a source in the northeastern province.
The source confirmed to SANA that the operation resulted in the killing of many terrorists from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), while others were wounded and their ammo and weapons were left destroyed.
Another army unit targeted with artillery ISIS gatherings in al-Maylbiyeh area, 15km to the south of Hasaka, killing large numbers of terrorists, injuring others and destroying some vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns.
Homs
A unit of the army destroyed an armored vehicle belonging to terrorists to the east of Jib al-Jarrah village in the eastern countryside of the central Homs province, according to a military source.
The army also killed a number of terrorists in Der Foul and Abu Masa’ada and Rasm al-Tawil in Homs countryside.
Gatherings and dens of terrorists were also targeted by army units in Rajm al-Qasr village, with many of them getting killed and others wounded, while their weapons and vehicles were left destroyed.
In the northern countryside, another army unit foiled an attack by terrorists against Hersh Qbeibat al-Assi village in the countryside of al-Rastan, leaving a number of them dead or wounded and their vehicles destroyed.
To the east of al-Rastan city, the army killed more terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist groups in Jabal al-Kinn area.
Idleb
Units of Army and Armed forces killed a number of terrorists and destroyed a vehicle equipped with heavy machine-gun in the area surrounding Jidar Bakfalon, Broma Farms and Tal Deinet in Idleb countryside.
The army also destroyed dens for terrorists in Kansafra, Falyoun and in Samrin in Idleb countryside.
Army units carried out several military operations in the countryside of Idleb northern province inflicting heavy losses upon Jabhat-al-Nusra terrorists and others affiliated to it.
A military source told SANA on Thursday that an army unit targeted a terrorists’ den in the surrounding area of Bennish town, seven km away from Idleb city, killing 16 members of “Ahrar al-Sham” terrorist organization most of them are not Syrians.
The body of Yousef Qebala was identified among the killed terrorists and four terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra were also killed including the terrorist Majd-Eddin al-Sallat. Many vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns were also destroyed during the operation.
The source added that eight terrorists from “Liwa Soqour al-Sham” terrorist organization were killed in the surrounding area of the building of the central prison in Idelb, the bodies of Abdul-Rahman Drai’ and Mostafa al-Rahmoun were identified among the killed terrorists.
Six more members from “Ahrar al-Sham” terrorist group were killed including Ahmad Dib al-Mansour, as a machinegun and two vehicles equipped with DhK were destroyed.
In a special operation, army units eliminated 20 terrorists from “Ahrar al-Sham”, in addition to injuring dozens near Maret Masrin, 9 km to the north of Idleb city. The bodies of the terrorists Abdul-Karim al-Saleh, Majed Ahmad al-Khalaf, Safi Badawi and Osama Taha Hamdan were identified among the killed terrorists. Three vehicles were also destroyed during the operation.
In the southern countryside of the province, terrorists’ dens and gatherings were targeted, killing many of the terrorists and injuring others, in addition to destroying their vehicles in Saraqeb town, Sarmin, Jidar Bakfaloun and on Taoum road.
A unit of the army and armed forces also killed a number of terrorists and destroyed their heavy machinegun-equipped vehicle at the surrounding of Kafermid in the countryside of the province.
Units of Army and Armed Forces targeted terrorist organizations in Idleb countryside, inflicting huge losses on them.
An Army unit eliminated many terrorists and destroyed their weapons in Brouma Farms to the north of Idleb in addition to killing many terrorists and injuring many others in Taftanaz on Idleb-Aleppo road.
Army carried out intensive strikes on terrorists’ gatherings and dens in Ma’r Tab’i and Majdalia to the south of Idleb, killing many of them and destroying their ammo and weaponry.
In Jabal al-Arba’in area, a large number of terrorists were killed and many others were injured during Army accurate strikes against their movements in the area.
Terrorist organizations’ gatherings were destroyed in al-Qassr al-Seini near Kafar Najd area.
Daraa
The army destroyed a number of vehicles, some of them equipped with heavy machine guns in Busra al-cham and killed several terrorists in Jamrin and Tafas in Daraa countryside.
Units of the army and armed forces destroyed two terrorist organizations’ dens in al-Ghariyeh al-Gharbiyeh in the countryside of Daraa province.
Lattakia
The army killed a number of terrorists and destroyed their vehicles, equipped with heavy machine guns in Jabal al-Qalaa, Marj Khoukha in Lattakia northern countryside.
Quneitra
Many terrorists were killed in military operations near al-Bawari factory in al-Hamidiyeh village in the countryside of Quneitra province.
