Damascus, SANA-Syria’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun said on Tuesday that Syria is fighting for its national stance in supporting resistance , adding ” what Syria has witnessed of development during the last ten years and the people’s support to President Bashar al-Assad have intimidated the West and made it reconsider its accounts, so it resorted to the conspiracy.”
The Mufti, at a ceremony to honor Sham Private University’s volunteers, added “we have to differentiate between Sharia and law as prophets established civil, not religious states,” noting Syria is secular state because it respects all its sons.
