Quneitra, SANA – Efforts are going on in various villages in the southern province of Quneitra to arrive at a
solution that ensures the departure of armed terrorist organizations from the area.
Local, civil and official figures in Breiqa, Bir Ajam, al-Quseiba, al-Suweisa and Nab’ al-Sakhr villages
affirmed that they will not halt contacts with the locals in these villages until a solution is agreed on where the
terrorists operating in the villages could be driven out, while wanted persons who are willing to turn
themselves in can have their legal status settled.
The figures, who stressed their continued efforts in this regard, asked Quneitra Governor Ahmad Sheikh
Abdul-Qader during a meeting on Sunday for opening a “safe passage” for the locals from Khan Arnaba
towards Jebba and way through Nab’ al-Sakhr and the remaining villages as the locals have recently been
passing through Daraa villages where terrorist organizations are actively spread.
The Governor, for his part, stressed deep keenness for the lives and properties of the civilians, noting that
he counts on the local and popular figures to bring their efforts to fruition.
