Damascus, SANA – Finals of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad for 2014/2015 season have started at the Damascus-based Sheraton Hotel with the participation of 381 young people from all provinces to determine the top participants in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Natural Science and Informatics.
Head of the National Agency of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad Imad al-Azeb said that the tests include unified scientific questions set by the central scientific committees of the Olympiad, as they seek to upgrade the level of the scientific content of the questions.
He pointed out that the tests are going on normally, being carried out in two rounds-morning and evening , adding that the results will be announced tomorrow.
Syrian Scientific Olympiad made 11 achievements last year, gaining medals and certificates of appreciation in the framework of international and continental Olympiads.
