Sweida, SANA – The spiritual leadership of the Druze in Syria said that Syria is the perfect example of the Islamic-Christian fraternity, stressing that true message of Islam is spreading love and peace among people.
On the occasion of the of the Prophet Mohammad’s Birthday, the leadership said that Islam is far removed from extremist, takfiri, and Wahabi tendencies.
Head of the leadership Sheikh Hikmat al-Hijri called upon all Syrians to adhere to national unity and confront all forms of sedition and fragmentation schemes.
He prayed that God would preserve the Syrian people and army under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad, hoping that security and stability will be restored soon.
