Planting olive saplings at al-Furat University, Deir Ezzor on Tree Day

Deir Ezzor, SANA – Al-Furat University in cooperation with Deir Ezzor Agriculture Directorate, organized an event on the occasion of the 63rd Tree Day.

The participants planted olive saplings in the garden of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering in the university, side by side with members from the National Union of Syrian Students, the Revolutionary Youth Union and al-Baath Vanguards.

Rector of al-Furat University, Ali al-Ali, said that the event conveys a message to the whole world that Syria is on its way to rout terrorism and achieve victory.

In turn, Director of Agriculture in the province, Mahmoud Haio, said that the Forests Department established two plant nurseries with the aim of improving vegetation and increasing planted areas after the decline in green areas due to terrorists’ sabotage acts.
