Saturday weather: Skies partly cloudy, rain showers expected

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will remain from 3 to 6 degrees above average as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by western air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Saturday bulletin that the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general while the skies will be cloudy in the northwestern and the coastal areas at night and rain showers will fall over these areas.

Meanwhile, the weather will be misty in the eastern, al-Jazeera and al-Badyia (desert) areas.

The wind will be southerly to southeasterly to become westerly at night with a low to moderate speed and the sea waves will be low to medium in height.

The expected temperatures in some of the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 17/5, Daraa 16/5, Homs 13/2, Lattakia 20/12. Aleppo 15/2 and Deir Ezzor 18/6.
