Tunisia supports finding political solution to crisis in Syria

New Delhi, SANA- Tunisia’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Khemaies al-Jhinaoui, has stressed his country’s support for finding political solution to the crisis in Syria by the Syrians themselves.

“Tunisia looks forward to the return of security and stability to Syria and the restoration of good relations between peoples of the two brotherly countries,” al- Jhinaoui said in an interview with SANA correspondent in New Delhi on Tuesday.

He hailed the historical relations between peoples of the two countries, noting that Tunisia is still maintaining its embassy in Damascus.

“Ending the war in Syria will contribute to re-normalization of relations between the two countries.” the Tunisian Minister said.

A number of Tunisian figures and bodies recently visited Syria to show solidarity with it in facing terrorism as they continuously demand the Tunisian government to fully restore diplomatic relations with Syria.
