Tehran, SANA –Iranian Assistant Speaker of Shura Council Hussein Amir-Abdullahian stressed his country’s continued support to Syria, expressing congratulations over the Syrian army’s recent victories against terrorism.
Receiving the Syrian Ambassador in Tehran, Adnan Mahmoud, Abdullahian noted that confronting terrorism requires unifying all international efforts.
He reiterated that his country supports any step that may help achieve peace and security and eliminate takfiri terrorism in the region, especially Syria, adding that time has come for the international community to pay special attention to the issue of rebuilding Syria.
For his part, Ambassador Mahmoud hailed the support provided by Iran’s people and government to Syria in its war against terrorism until final victory and the restoration of security and stability to its territories.
He stressed continued coordination between the two countries with Russia and other friendly states to eradicate terrorism and establish stability in Syria.
