Moscow, SANA-Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Wednesday that Moscow will respond, in an appropriate way, to the US threats and provocations against Syria, adding “those accusations are not new and the Americans have claimed such things without any evidence.” in reference to chemical weapons accusations.
“We call on Washington to stop searching for pretexts to strike the Syrian forces,” Lavrov said at a press conference with his German counterpart, Sigmar Gabriel.
He added that the Syrian government has agreed to run a fair, transparent investigation to Khan Sheikhoun incident.
