New cooperation prospects with Indonesia discussed 

Aleppo, SANA – Aleppo Governor Hussein Diab discussed with Head of the Economic Department at the Indonesian Embassy in Damascus, Consul Mohi Sumnar and the accompanying delegation means of boosting the Syrian – Indonesian relations in a way that serves the interests of the peoples in the two countries.
Governor Diab underlined the importance of Aleppo city as an important economic and industrial hub, reviewing the volume of systematic destruction caused to the industrial facilities and production lines due to the terrorist attacks.

He noted that Aleppo has made great strides towards recovery after the restoration of security and stability to the city and large parts of the countryside, stressing continued efforts to eradicate terrorism, launch the rebuilding process and re-run more facilities and activate industrial areas in the province.

The governor welcomed the Indonesian delegation’s visit which reflects their interest to further develop bilateral relations and open new cooperation prospects.

In turn, Sumnar said that the visit aims at inspecting the situation in the province, conveying the real image of what is happening to the Indonesian people, discussing future cooperation, activating bilateral relations and inviting Aleppo businessmen to take part in the International Trade Exhibition scheduled to be held in Indonesia in the near future.
