Geneva, SANA-A source close to the delegation of Syrian Arab republic in Geneva denied reports circulated by a number of Gulf media outlets about suspending talks with the UN special envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura.
“Those repeated rumors, by al-Arabiya and al-Jazeera TV channels, come in the context of their endeavors to confuse the talks and make them a failure, a stance which agrees with the stances of Saudi Arabia and Qatar governments that support terrorism in Syria and make anything that could stop the Syrian bloodshed a failure,” the source said on Monday.
It added that the delegation affirms its continuation in the talks as scheduled by the UN, stressing it will do its best to invest any dialogue opportunity that could offer protection to the Syrian people and stop bloodshed.
