DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE, (SANA)- Continuing their violations of the declaration on the suspension of military operations, terrorists on Monday detonated a car bomb in al-Rawda residential neighborhood in the town of Jaramana in Damascus Countryside, martyring a number of citizens and injuring dozens.

An official source told SANA's correspondent that eleven martyrs were killed by the bombing and dozens were injured, most of them women and children, noting that the bombing also caused great damage to nearby homes, shops and properties.

Damascus Countryside Governor Hussein Makhlouf inspected the site of the bombing and visited the injured in al-Radi Hospital and Jaramana Surgical Hospital.

The governor noted that the bombing targeted a safe area with a high population density and heavy traffic of cars and pedestrians.

He pointed out that the structural safety committee at the governorate began inspecting damaged buildings to assess damages and do what is necessary to support the buildings and remove rubble, adding that the authorities are carrying out investigations to uncover the details of the terrorist attack.
