ALEPPO, (SANA)- An armed terrorist group on Tuesday abducted 11 Lebanese and a Syrian bus driver who were returning from Iran to Lebanon via Aleppo in northern Syria.

Governor of Aleppo, Dr. Muwaffaq Khallouf, told SANA reporter that the armed terrorist group abducted the 11 Lebanese and the Syrian citizen among 52 persons who were in two buses returning from Iran across Turkey in al-Salameh town in Azaz region in the countryside of Aleppo.

Khallouf said that the terrorist group's members let the women in the two buses go, adding that the women are now in Aleppo and the authorities are working to ensure their transfer to Lebanon.

Later on, Lebanese Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Adnan Mansour, declared that the contacts about the kidnapped Lebanese in Aleppo revealed that they are present with an armed group affiliated to the opposition and they are well and are to be released during the coming few hours.
