Authorities Foil Armed Terrorist Group Infiltration Attempt from Lebanon

HOMS COUNTRYSIDE, (SANA) – Authorities on Thursday foiled an infiltration attempt by an armed terrorist group from the Lebanese territories into Syria near the Syrian village of Halat in Talkalakh, Homs Countryside.

"A terrorist was arrested while the others escaped to Lebanon," a well-informed source in the governorate told SANA correspondent.

The source added that the authorities foiled five infiltration attempts in the last 72 hours.

Authorities clash with terrorists in Qseir, Seize Weapons, Dismantle Explosive Devices in Hama

Authorities clashed on  Thursday with armed terrorist groups riding three stolen cars on the way between Homs and al-Qseir.

The clashes resulted in the killing of several terrorists, wounding others and seizing their weapons.

In Hama city, authorities seized large amounts of various weapons and dismantled explosive devices set to be remotely detonated.

SANA correspondent quoted Engineer Abdul-Majid al-Misri as saying that the acts of sabotage targeted more than 150 outlets for modern irrigation in Aleppo countryside.
