Damascus,(SANA)- In a move that could even rival human spirit, a baby monkey on Saturday tried to save its ailing mother by carrying it to a hospital.

To the amazement of the doctors, it sat beside the sick simian although the treatment. It let out a cry when the mother died and later left the place quietly.

The heart-rending scene was witnessed at Parajang in Orissa’s Dhenkanal district, at around 7 am. The kitten was seen dragging its mother to the local veterinary hospital.

Then it started moving furiously inside the hospital and back apparently to draw attention of the onlookers to its mother, which was lying in an unconscious state outside.

Later it pulled a curious pharmacist to its mother. "There were nearly two dozen people who came along with their pet dogs to the hospital.

The baby monkey was seen running helter-skelter in the hospital. Finally, it came to me and pulled me towards its mother," pharmacist Nirakar Pradhan said.
