The 4th Conference of Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions Starts Tomorrow

Damascus, SANA_ The 4th Conference of Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions will begin tomorrow in Damascus with the participation of 800 central bank governors, heads of boards of directors and chief executives of Islamic commercial and investment banks from about 20 Arab and foreign countries.
The 2-day conference entitled " Islamic Banking, Investment Opportunities and Challenges of Competition" discusses the challenges and competition that face the Islamic financial industry and the global financial crisis and ways to strengthen Islamic banks and liquidity management.
The conference will also review the situation of financial markets, organized commercial financing, financing companies and individuals as well as aspects of the Syrian Islamic financial market and the criteria governing the electronic financial transactions.
The Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, Dr. Adib Mayaleh, said: " The conference will address important letters on the development of the Islamic banking work in Syria and ways to ensure a suitable climate to the financial sector in Syria.
The conference will provide a valuable opportunity to exchange views with the experts and the decision-makers in the field of Islamic banking industry.
