MOSCOW, (SANA) _ Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich stressed that the military choice does not solve the crisis in Syria, calling the Turkish Government " to utilize its influence on the Syrian opposition with no parade in order to speed up the commencement of an internal Syrian dialogue without directing the situation to a dangerous route.

Russia Today Channel quoted Ukashevic as saying in a press conference on Thursday in comment on the request proposed by the Turkish government to deploy patriot missiles, " it is obvious that such moves do not increase optimism …despite that, acts of all foreign players should be coordinated..let us not rush."

He pointed out that the development of the situation, stemming from the Turkish request suggests that the matter reflects a reliable step.

He pointed out that Moscow is waiting to "see the reaction of the NATO partners," reminding of Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov's statements who said " militarization of the Syrian-Turkish borders is a worrying sign."

Ukashevic reiterated that the only way for overcoming the crisis in Syria and putting an end to the Syrian people's tragedy is still represented by the Syrians' search for a mechanism combining the authority and the opposition for ending bloodshed, preventing foreign intervention and making democratic reforms.

He added that Russia has helped that choice and will continue to support it.
