MOSCOW, (SANA) – President Vladimir Putin of Russia stressed that boosting the air force is a key priority for Russia's military policy.
In a congratulatory cable to members of the Russian air force on the air force's 100th anniversary, Putin said that Russia gave priority for improving scientific research in air force and supplying the air force with advanced planes and helicopters.
President Putin hailed the role of the Russian air force throughout history, expressing his belief in the ability of Russian military forces to continue carrying out their tasks to enhance Russia's defense ability and national security.
More than 110 planes participated in the airshow in Zhukovsky City to mark this occasion.
