BEIRUT, (SANA)- Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zasypkin said that Russia will spare no efforts to resolve the crisis in Syria, stopp all forms of violence and to launch a dialogue between the Syrian leadership and opposition.
During a celebration held in the Russian Embassy in Beirut on Monday on the occasion of Russia's National Day, Zasypkin said that Russia will also encourage the foreign sides to use their influence to carry out the plan of the UN envoy to Syria, Kofi Annan.
"Russia doesn't support extension of the Syrian crisis into Lebanon and supports Lebanon's sovereignty, territorial unity and independence," he added.
On the other hand, he stressed the importance of making the Lebanese national dialogue a success in order to enhance Lebanon's security and stability.
