Tunisian Authorities: Tunisian Citizens Within Armed Terrorist groups in Syria

May 19, 2012

TUNIS, (SANA) – Tunisian authorities on Friday admitted that there are Tunisian citizens who were killed or arrested in Syria, and that they were members of the armed terrorist groups.

Tunisian Interior Minister, Ali al-Areed, said that some Tunisians travelled to Syria and some of them were arrested or killed, while others still operating among armed groups, adding that the ministry has no accurate information about their numbers.

Earlier, three terrorists, one Libyan and two Tunisians, confessed to infiltrating Syria through the Turkish borders in order to carry out terrorist attacks in coordination with al-Qaeda and militias of the so-called free army.
