Collective Security Treaty Organization Calls for Resolving Crisis in Syria by the Syrians Themselves

MOSCOW, (SANA) – Leaders of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member countries on Tuesday called for resolving the crisis in Syria by the Syrians themselves with adherence to Syria's sovereignty and halting the violence soon.

At the conclusion of a summit held in Moscow, the leaders of the member countries stressed the need for an immediate cessation of violence in Syria and launcing a comprehensive political dialogue between the authorities and the opposition without preconditions.

They underlined the need to continue the political, social and economic reforms to serve all Syrians' interests, voicing their countries' support for the plan of UN Envoy to Syria Kofi Annan, expressing deep concern over the situation in Syria and the surrounding area.

The members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
