DAMASCUS, (SANA) – The Syrian Arab Association in Ottawa organized "Syria's Women for Peace" rally with the participation of the Syrian community, Lebanese parties and representatives of the Students Association in Canada.
Syrian women and children participated in the rally which started from the building of the Syrian Embassy towards the Canadian Parliament.
The participants raised Syrian flags, photos of President Bashar al-Assad and banners which stress support to the reforms achieved in Syria under the leadership of President al-Assad and condemn those who aim to stoke sedition and fund, train, arm and send mercenaries and terrorist groups to Syria.

Head of the Syrian Association of Canada Jihan Haik said that the Syrian government expressed readiness to commit to any Arab and international initiative that help stop the bloodshed of the Syrians and restores security and stability and agreed on the UN Envoy Kofi Annan's plan to receive 300 international observers, meanwhile the terrorist attacks were escalated against law-enforcement members, civilians and properties.
Speaking on the behalf of the Syrian community in Canada, citizen Samira Khouri said that that Syria's enemies use expressions likr freedom, human rights or democracy as a cover for a serious conspiracy against Syria which is plotted by the US and implemented by their Arab and NATO allies.
