Czech Defense Ministry: Czech Has Not Participated in Observer Mission to Syria So Far

Apr 20, 2012

BRAGH, (SANA)- Czech Defense Ministry Spokesman, Jan Pejsek, on Friday said the Czech has so far not contributed in any way in the international observer mission to Syria.

Speaking to the Czech Bravo newspaper, Pejsek affirmed that his country did not and will not transport any cars for the international observers to the Middle East, responding to news reported on Thursday by the Czech radio Radiozurnal, according to Lebanese newspapers, that three Czech airplanes had transferred 9 field cars for the international observers to Beirut Airport.

He reiterated that the Czech has not participated in the observer mission in any other way and that up till this moment the Czech army is not expected to take part in this mission, noting that this, however, can not be ruled in the future as the mission is still in its beginning.
