French Ambassador in Beirut: No Intention to Send Observers to Syria

BEIRUT, (SANA)- French Ambassador to Lebanon, Doni Pieton, on Friday said his government has no intention to send French observers within the international monitoring mission to Syria and it has not received any request in this regard.

Pieton dismissed in a press statement during a tour in South Lebanon news and information on France intending to send soldiers to northern Lebanon as "baseless", affirming that there is no intention to deploy French forces on Lebanon's border with Syria.
