Syrian-Hungarian Forum for Syria Hails Syria's Struggle against Western Zionist Hegemony

Apr 17, 2012

BUDAPEST, (SANA)- The Syrian-Hungarian Forum for Syria said Syria is at the front of the Arab powers resisting the Zionist US hegemony on the region as it is facing highest levels of pressures and vicious conspiracies.

In a statement issued on the 66th anniversary of the independence Day and the Evacuation of the French Colonialism from Syria, the Forum expressed regret over the events taking place in Syria, which have been exploited by the Western powers and their propaganda tools in addition to the 'dark powers' that call for sectarian seditions.

The statement considered that the implementation of the democratic reform program commenced by President Bashar al-Assad marks a positive turning point in the Syrian political life, adding that this requires restoring calm and normal life across Syria through halting violence.

The Forum applauded the efforts of the Syrian Armed Forces for preserving the country's security against the acts of the armed terrorist groups that are backed by Western and Gulf powers, stressing the importance of national unity to face any foreign exploitation of the events in Syria and to protect the country's national approach.

The Forum greeted the heroes and martyrs of the Evacuation who expelled the French Colonialism from Syria on the occasion of the Independence Day, highlighting Syria's continuous struggle since the independence against the colonialist conspiracies that are aimed at undermining Syria and making it succumb to the imperialist projects, the Zionism and the Reactionary Forces.
