Cairo, (SANA) – Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu strongly condemned the Israeli threats against the region's countries during a press conference held in Cairo on Sunday.
Ihsanoglu said that these threats add a new element of instability in the region at time when efforts must be made to achieve stability, avoid threats of wars and revive the peace process, noting that the Israeli statements increase tension in the region and reflect negatively on the peace process.
Regarding the Israeli attempts at Judaizing the occupied city of Jerusalem, Ihsanoglu stressed that this issue is sensitive and dangerous, underlining the significance of Jerusalem to every Muslim, since the Islamic world regards it as one of the three holy sites that must be preserved.
