Foreign Ministry: UN discussions in Damascus 'comprehensive and fruitful'

Damascus, (SANA)- Foreign and Expatriates Ministry and the United Nations have issued a joint press statement on the visit of the UN delegation to Syria.

"Upon the invitation of the Syrian government, the UN High Representative for Disarmament Affairs visited Damascus on July 24- 25 accompanied by the Head of the Investigation Committee affiliated to the UN. The delegation met the Foreign Minister and his Deputy to discuss the mission's task," Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in the statement .

The statement added that the discussions were "comprehensive and fruitful and led to an agreement on the means of moving forward."
