Feb 27, 2013

DAMASCUS, (SANA) – The Ministry of Interior has extended the validity of passports from six to ten years for one time starting off January 1st, 2013.

The Ministry clarified in a circular the conditions for extending passports, pointing out that Passports and Immigration department and its branches in all provinces are renewing expired passports for Syrian nationals abroad for two years regardless of the reasons that had earlier prevented their renewal, and without obtaining the necessary authorizations.
