Prime Minister: Government Committed to Dialogue with All Political, Economic Sides

DAMASCUS, (SANA) – The ministerial committee, which is tasked with preparing for national dialogue, continued its consultative meetings on Sunday.

Prime Minister, Dr. Wael al-Halqi, who is chairman of the ministerial committee, reviewed with Damascus University Teaching staff the procedures and meetings held by the committee with political forces to shape common views that pave the ground for a successful  national dialogue to solve the crisis in Syria based on political means and rejection of violence.

Dr. al-Halqi stressed that the government is committed to dialogue with all political forces and social and economic bodies, including the opposition and coordination committees.

He pointed out to the security and judicial guarantees given to ensure the return of the opposition forces abroad if they wish to take part in dialogue and get involved in the political process, including the coordination committees and the gunmen who surrender their arms.

Damascus University teaching staff representatives presented their proposals which expressed their views about the causes and repercussions of the crisis and means to deal with them, in addition to the role of foreign sides in prolonging the crisis to weaken and destabilize Syria.
