LATTAKIA, (SANA) – Governor of Lattakia, Suleiman al-Nasser,discussed with a delegation from the UNICEF, headed by its Regional Emergency Adviser Bastien Vigneau, means of providing vaccines, medicine and educational requirements for children in the province.
Al-Nasser called on the delegation members to convey the real image of events in Syria in light of the huge media misleading to distort what is really taking place.
He highlighted the role of civil and international organizations in providing the affected people's basic needs of medicine and food, hailing the UNICEF role in this regard.
Secretary of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch in Lattakia, Hassan Majed, said that the visit aimed at standing at the needs of children and families which fled their provinces due to the armed terrorist groups and meeting their needs.
Later on, the delegation toured the temporary shelter centers established in the Sports City in Lattakia.
