DAMASCUS, (SANA) – A meeting was held on Monday at the Social Affairs and Labor Ministry with the Director of the Child Protection Program at the UNICEF and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting discussed the UNICEF's plan for its work in Syria in 2013, the available budget, and the priorities that should be focused upon.
Director of Services at the Ministry Firas Nabhan stressed the importance of continuing cooperation with UNICEF in child protection and in rehabilitating temporary housing centers and improving them.
For his part, UNICEF Director of Child Protection Insaf Nizam expressed readiness to assist in developing housing centers to help the children in it in educational, humanitarian and health matters, stressing the need for a plan for cooperation between the UNICEF and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and civil organizations.
