DAMASCUS, (SANA) – Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Jassim Mohammad Zakarya, stressed that the Higher Commission for Relief is tasked with providing shelter centers for displaced families outside Syria and equipping them with basic requirements to facilitate their return to their areas and houses.
Chairing the Commission meeting on Wednesday, Minister Zakarya said that the State Ministry of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and the SARC organization, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent, were tasked with communicating with families outside Syria to take immediate measures in order to visit them in the camps in the neighboring countries and guarantee their safe return to Syria.
He noted that the Higher Commission provided the basic needs of families at the temporary shelter centers for the winter, not to mention providing social protection for them.
In turn , Minister of State for Syrian Arab Red Crescent Affairs, Joseph Sweid, underlined the Commission's efforts to provide necessary help to families who were forced to leave their houses due to the practices of the armed terrorist groups and to facilitate the return of those who live outside the Syrian borders.
The participants discussed what has been carried out of the work plan, stressing the necessity for relying on civil initiatives to communicate with families outside Syria and the role of media in this regard.
