DAMASCUS, (SANA) – Minister of Education, Dr. Hazwan al-Wiz, stressed on Thursday that the Ministry will set a plan to restore students back to schools and compensate them for the lost classes they have missed because of the current circumstances in Syria.
During a meeting with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) representative, Youssef Abdul-Jalil, the Minister denounced "the massacre committed against Aleppo University students", pointing out to the importance of enhancing the standing cooperation between the ministry and UNICEF.
For his part, UNICEF representative condemned "the destructive attack on Aleppo University", noting that the current crisis has affected several sectors and people's life, including children.
He hailed the joint cooperation between the UNICEF and its partners, particularly the Ministry of Education and civil and international organizations and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.
