DAMASCUS, (SANA) – Head of the Levant Scholars Union Dr. Mohammad Said Ramadan al-Bouti said that Syria was and still is the shield of the Palestinian Resistance.

In a speech after the Friday prayers, al-Bouti said "Why some sides, which claim helping and supporting Gaza, don't send their mercenaries who are fighting in Syria to fight in Gaza?"

He stressed that some sides persist on siding with the Israeli enemy to fight Syria on its behalf, highlighting that Palestine and Gaza, which suffer from the Israeli occupation, didn't find any side to support them.
