The Armed Forces Pledge High Preparedness to Defend the Homeland

Nov 17, 2012

DAMASCUS, (SANA)- Leaders of military units yesterday Friday promised the Syrian people and President Bashar al-Assad to remain in a state of high preparedness to defend the homeland and preserve its security and stability regardless of the challenges and terrorism.

The leaders' promise was made during the Armed Forces' celebration of the 42nd anniversary of the glorious Correctionist Movement which constituted a historic turning point in the course of the Syrian people's march and drew a new path for the modern Syrian state through having made a strong ideologized army that has revealed Syria's importance and capabilities.

In their speech, the military leaders highlighted the great achievements of the Correctionist Movement, which was led by late president Hafez al-Assad, and the outcomes it came up with across the political and social map of the homeland.

The most prominent of those achievements were those made on the level of the Armed Forces which have become more powerful in confronting all hostile schemes.

The military leaders stressed that the parties leading the current aggression on Syria are now faced with a state of confusion and bankruptcy due to the severe blows which the Syrian army and the Armed Forces have been dealing the terrorists.

They concluded their speeches by affirming the Syrians' awareness and unity along with the Syrian army around the wise leadership of President al-Assad, saying that this unity has foiled the conspirators' attempt to undermine Syria and the dignity of its sons.
