Official and Popular Delegations Visit Tomb of Late President Hafez al-Assad

Nov 16, 2012

LATTAKIA, (SANA)- On the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the Correctionist Movement, official and popular delegations on Friday visited the tomb of late president Hafez al-Assad in al-Qirdaha city in Lattakia.

The delegations, who laid wreaths on the tomb, recalled the meanings and indications of the anniversary and the achievements which have been made under the Correctionist Movement on the various political, economic and social levels.

The Movement's achievements have consolidated Syria's position and role on the Arab and international levels and enabled it to be 'a difficult number' in the political equation which cannot be overstepped.

The delegations stressed that the aggression which Syria is currently undergoing aims at undermining its strength and resisting approach towards the Zionist-U.S. plots that are against the interests of the region's peoples as well as at liquidating the Palestinian cause and the Arab rights.
