Decision on Public Works Ministry to Supervise General Companies and Associations Replacing Ministries in Charge for Them

DAMASCUS, (SANA) – Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi issued decision No. 13297 on amending the decision No. 11319 according to which Minister of Public Works became responsible for supervising the General Company for Electricity & Communications Works, General Company for Technical Studies and Consulting, the Water Studies General Company, General Company For Water Projects, General Company for Roads and Bridges and the General Company for Construction.

According to the amendment, the Minister of Public Works is to replace minister responsible for these companies.

The amendment also stipulates that the Ministry of Public Labor supervises the Engineers' Association and the Construction Contractors Association and that the Minister of Public Works to replace Minister of Housing and Urban Development in documents regulating the work in both associations.
